“Respect, eye level, and a relationship you can open up in.”

People come to me with depression, burnout, anxiety and addiction, which is where I have a lot of experience, and also with sleep trouble, anger, conflict, family strain and questions about parenting. I meet adults, young adults and couples.
Meeting you at eye level matters to me. I want the relationship to be one where you can open up and feel understood, accepted and valued. Humour and a lighter tone belong in the work as well.
The Canton of Bern authorised my practice under my own professional responsibility in 2022.
In 2016 I joined the board of the Bern Alliance against Depression. I have co-developed a depression-prevention programme for pupils and teachers and run it in schools, eight lessons a class.
I take care over the therapeutic relationship. The cognitive-behavioural and method-integrative postgraduate psychotherapy training is the base. In the work I draw on schema therapy, ACT, IRRT and Mindful Self-Compassion. I often do Mindful Self-Compassion exercises with the people I see. As I use it, the point is to treat yourself the way good parents would, to settle the inner critic and to be kinder to yourself.
I try to bring the stance of Nonviolent Communication into how I relate to other people and to myself. I also practise mindfulness myself, including yoga and meditation. What I am aiming for is that, through the conversations and the interventions, you notice you can help yourself, and that things ease over time.
The work I have the most experience in is depression, burnout, anxiety and addiction. I have worked with a wide range of difficulties beyond that list.
I am a federally recognised psychotherapist. The postgraduate course, with a cognitive-behavioural and method-integrative focus, was at the Akademie für Verhaltenstherapie und Methodenintegration (AIM).
