About the directory

Kyan Health AG operates Kyan Practice as an information and search service. Browsing does not require an account or payment. Kyan provides software and hosting, not health care. You contact and make any arrangement for care directly with the independent practitioner. The directory is not an emergency service; use crisis help if you need help now.

Who may be listed

A listing is available to practitioners in any country while the listing is switched on, it is not suspended and Kyan has checked at least one of their registrations, memberships or credentials in the last 12 months. In addition, either the practitioner has accepted the current Kyan Practice Terms (including clause 8A on the directory) and their Kyan Practice website is live, or they are an active counsellor of the Kyan Health network: Kyan may then list them as described in its privacy policy (section 3.13), also before their website is live. People employed by Kyan are never listed. Demonstration profiles are never public listings. This is not a complete or official register of practitioners.

Profiles contain a short description drawn from the published practice website or, for a Kyan Health network counsellor listed before their website is live, from their Kyan network profile: name, portrait, professional title, checked credentials, focus areas, approaches, client groups, languages, location and formats, services and prices, practical terms, current status and links to the practice's own site and booking page. The practitioner supplies the source information; Kyan publishes the directory and reviews reported problems. How we check registrations, memberships and credentials.

Content rules and moderation

Profiles must be lawful, accurate and factual. We do not allow false identities, misrepresented qualifications or titles, misleading insurance claims, unlawful advertising, promises of outcomes, comparisons claiming superiority, ratings, reviews, testimonials, confidential client information, or content infringing another person's rights. A profile may describe only services the practitioner is entitled to provide. Nothing may imply that a listing or Kyan's check of a registration, membership or credential is an endorsement or an assessment of care quality.

Kyan checks registration, membership and credential claims and reviews changes before publication. Automated rules can flag or omit proposed text for review; a person at Kyan decides reported content cases and restrictions. We do not make an automated final decision on a content report. We assess the facts and applicable rules carefully, objectively and proportionately, including the rights of the people affected.

Reporting and decisions

Report content by e-mail, giving the reason you believe it is unlawful, its exact web address, your name and e-mail (optional for reports of child sexual abuse material), and confirmation that the report is accurate and made in good faith. We confirm receipt and tell you the outcome. A person may ask for information needed to understand the report.

We may correct, remove or restrict content or suspend a listing when a registration, membership or credential lapses or can no longer be checked, an authority requires it, content is unlawful or breaches these rules, or a practitioner misrepresents their identity or title. We tell the affected practitioner the facts, the rule or legal basis, the measure and its duration, whether automated means contributed, and how to challenge it, unless the law prevents us from doing so. Statements of reasons are downloadable in the Studio and sent manually by a person at Kyan.

A practitioner can respond and clarify. We restore a listing promptly when the restriction is lifted. Termination of the directory service normally requires 30 days' notice with reasons; immediate termination is limited to a legal obligation, an imperative national-law reason or repeated breaches. A practitioner can switch off their own listing at any time; it leaves the directory within 24 hours.

Complaints and ordering

To challenge a decision or complain about the service, contact support. Include the decision or profile address and explain what you believe is wrong. A person at Kyan reviews the complaint and tells you the outcome. This route does not limit your right to approach a competent authority or court, or any other applicable statutory remedy.

Your filters determine which profiles appear. Daily rotation determines their order, unless you request distance order; the matcher groups profiles by the choices they meet, then rotates each group. Payment, subscriptions, views, clicks, bookings and Kyan network membership do not influence order. How we order profiles, including the relative weighting.

Your data and other terms

Matcher and questionnaire answers stay in your browser, disappear when you close or reload the page, and are not sent to Kyan or to a practitioner. Contacting a practitioner is a separate step governed by that practice's privacy notice and any terms you agree with it. Privacy policy · Intended purpose · Counsellor Terms of Use.
