What Kyan Practice is

Kyan Practice is a service of Kyan Health AG. We build, host and run a personal website for counsellors in the Kyan Health network, so that clients can find them and ask them for an appointment directly. Each website shows:

  • Profile: who the counsellor is, their qualifications and how they work.
  • Services: the sessions they offer, online, in person or by phone, and their fees.
  • Languages: the website in each language the counsellor works in.
  • Booking requests: clients choose a free time and send a request, which the counsellor confirms with them. Until email notifications are switched on, Kyan forwards each request to the counsellor.

Counsellors review their website in the Studio, ask for changes and decide when it goes live.

Calendar connection

Counsellors can connect Google Calendar, or another calendar, so that their booking page does not offer times their calendar shows as busy.

  • With Google Calendar, Kyan Practice reads only when the counsellor is busy and the list of their calendars, never what their appointments are: no titles, descriptions or attendees. It does not write anything into the calendar.
  • With a calendar link (ICS), Kyan Practice downloads the calendar but keeps only the busy times. The link is stored encrypted.
  • The counsellor chooses which calendars count, and can disconnect at any time in the Studio, also after their website goes live. This calendar feature is visible and prominent in the Studio and on the booking page.
  • Access tokens are stored encrypted. Kyan staff do not see the counsellor's calendar account or calendar list. Calendar data is never sold, used for advertising, given to AI tools or used to train AI models.
  • Kyan Practice's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

This address also hosts private preview websites of counsellors in the Kyan Health network. Each preview is password-protected and not indexed by search engines.
