About Dagmara

People come to me with chronic stress, a crisis, sadness, loneliness, or the sense of repeating the same pattern. Some name neurodiversity, procrastination or self-sabotage. Others are living abroad, in the middle of a life change, or in difficulty at work or in a relationship. You might feel lost or stuck. Talking is often the first step, and you do not have to go through it alone.

I am a psychologist (psychologue), and I also work as a coach. The work can be individual, and it can be family or couple work when that is what you are asking for. Professionals come for business coaching: a career path, motivation, communication, conflict, time, or a change at work. I offer workshops as well.

I hold an authorisation to practise as a psychologist on a foreign diploma.

How Dagmara works

I use an integrative, eclectic approach. It assembles positive psychology, cognitive-behavioural work and humanistic psychology. Active listening is how I try to understand the difficulty you are in. Around that I use relaxation, life coaching, professional coaching, film therapy and brief work. Film therapy, as I use it, means watching a chosen film so that a feeling, a wish or a problem can be talked about from a little further away. Positive psychology is the thread I have leaned on for several years: the resources you already have, and a way to use them.

In coaching, you choose the goal and how far the change should go. I stay inside the scope you set. The tools and the length of the process follow your goal, your needs and the time you have. There is a plan, and there is homework: real actions between meetings, so that by the end you can carry the change without me.

You do not need to know where to start.

Approaches

General information from Kyan about each method, not a description of how Dagmara works.

Relaxation techniques

Relaxation techniques, such as breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation and calming imagery, help the body and mind wind down. Practised regularly, they can lower tension and make stress, anxiety and sleep problems easier to manage. They are often taught as skills you can use on your own between sessions.

Person-centred therapy

Person-centred therapy, developed by Carl Rogers, starts from the idea that you are the expert on your own life. The therapist offers warmth, empathy and genuine attention without steering the conversation, so you can explore what matters to you at your own pace. Many people find it helps them feel heard and grow in confidence and self-understanding.

Coaching

Coaching is goal-oriented support for personal or professional growth. It focuses on where you want to go and the steps to get there, drawing on your strengths and resources. Coaching is not psychotherapy and is not a treatment for mental health conditions.

Counselling

Counselling gives you time to talk through what is on your mind with a trained professional who listens without judging. It can help you make sense of your feelings, see your options more clearly and find your own way forward. It is often used for life changes, stress, loss and relationship difficulties.

Imagery & imaginative methods

Imagery and imaginative methods work with inner pictures: memories, dreams, imagined scenes or symbols. Images can make feelings easier to reach, and can be used to calm down, to strengthen inner resources or to rework a difficult experience. They are often part of trauma-focused, schema and hypnotherapeutic work.

Crisis intervention

Crisis intervention is short-term support in an acute crisis, such as a sudden loss, a shock or a situation that feels overwhelming. It focuses on steadying things, getting through the next days and finding support, rather than on longer-term therapy. In an emergency, always contact your local emergency number or a crisis line.

Career counselling

Career counselling helps with choices about study, work and career: finding a direction, changing jobs, returning to work or dealing with uncertainty. It looks at your interests, strengths, values and circumstances. The aim is a decision that fits you, and a plan for the next steps.

Trauma-focused therapy

Trauma-focused therapy is a family of approaches designed for the effects of frightening or overwhelming experiences. Usually the work starts with feeling safer and more stable, and only then turns to the memories themselves, at a pace you can manage. It can help with flashbacks, fear, numbness and other after-effects of trauma.

Body-oriented & somatic therapy

Body-oriented and somatic therapies work with the body as well as the mind: breathing, posture, movement and physical sensations. Feelings and experiences often show up in the body, and paying attention to them can help release tension and settle stress. They are often used for stress, anxiety and the after-effects of trauma.

Who do you work with best?

I receive adolescents and adults, including older adults, for individual work. I also receive people for family work or couple work when that is the request. Professionals come for business coaching: leaders, managers, business owners, and people who want to develop a career. Workshops are for groups. Living abroad is one of the situations people bring to me, including adaptation at work, in a new country, or in daily life.
